If you'd like to explore how I can help you photographically, please contact me directly, and let's talk about your needs. I'm available for editorial assignments, commercial projects, and most other photographic work. My previous clients include banks, small businesses, non-profits, individuals and families.
My rates are competitive. I'm versatile, conscientious, creative, and will work hard to make sure you get what you need. I love to collaborate with clients to make their creative ideas a reality, and have yet to have a client who wasn't 100% satisfied. Bring your imagination and let's create something fabulous!
Commercial Photography: Commercial pricing is highly variable depending on the duration and complexity of the job. Contact me directly to discuss your needs.

Individual and Family Portraits: My basic portrait session rate is $300 for the shoot. There is a $150 non-refundable deposit required to book a session, and will be applied toward the $300 total. The $300 fee includes a $100 print credit.
If you think you’re going to want large prints or a lot of prints, we encourage you to book our $500 portrait session, in which the whole $500 is a print credit.
Returning clients or kids 16 and under get $50 off the session fee.
Sessions usually last an hour to an hour-and-a-half. You can schedule an extra hour of shooting during any session should you need it for $100.
All portrait sessions include print credit, basic retouching, web resolution files, unlimited license, and proofs ready in 2-3 days.
Business Headshots: My corporate headshot rate is $50 per person ($200 minimum). There is a $100 non-refundable deposit required to book the session, which will be applied toward the total bill.

Personal Headshots:  My standard rate for individual headshots is $200 for the shoot. There is a $100 non-refundable deposit required to book the session, which will be applied toward the $200 total bill.
There is also a discounted fee for returning clients of $175. There is a $75 non-refundable deposit required to book a session, which will be applied toward the $175 total.
If you just need one quick look for a website or Facebook page, I do offer a 30-minute session for $100. However, a short session like this is not without some risks (see the next paragraph).
Our standard headshot sessions are shot in our home studio on Minkslide Road in Shelbyville, and our individual sessions last up to an hour and a half in length. There are several reasons for this. Most people are not terribly comfortable in front of a camera, and it often shows up as awkward facial expressions in the final images. This results in images the client is not satisfied with, and I refuse to create "quicky" images that do not satisfy. You're going to be looking at these images for months or years, and I want you to still be satisfied with them then. And, these headshots are how you will present yourself on social media to friends, family, associates, and customers. How you look in the images matters to me.
So . . . one of my jobs as a headshot photographer is to get people to relax so their expressions are genuine and flattering. This involves, in part, building rapport and it simply cannot be rushed.
Another reason for a slightly longer session involves the use of lights. In general, people just look better when they're lit properly. Lighting people in a way that flatters them but does not draw attention to the lights themselves is an art, and the technical aspects of doing so take some extra time during a shoot.
As I hope you can tell, I am fiercely dedicated to creating images that present each client in their very best . . . light. I take pride in doing this well.
We generally shoot a handful of different looks for our clients during the session. This allows us to create a mix of imagery that suits your purposes. We will discuss the images and edit the session with you as we go. We will inspect each shot one by one with you to determine its viability for use in representing you the way you want to be represented. You’ll leave knowing exactly what we’ve captured and that you’ll only receive images that have met your approval along the way.
